the third year.

Every year, we talk about traveling, taking more photos, etc. etc. but we all know how easy it is to get back into the routine of things.

This year, I wanted it to be a little different.

A few weeks ago, Bryce & I celebrated our second wedding anniversary. We've been together {coming up on} five years and during that time, we've become less & less gift-oriented and rather have our celebrations be experienced-oriented. We like that better.

This year, I wanted to do something that was a little mix of both.


I wanted to find that perfect combination of something that I could give Bryce, but something that would serve us both/could do together/was experience-oriented.

So, I bought a smash journal.

Have you seen these before? They're everywhere I've found - I just never paid any attention to them until now. I'm in LOVE.

They come with a bunch of fun pages (there's a bunch of different themes - I think the one I chose was vintage) and you can accessorize with a bunch of fun inserts like washi tape, tags, pockets, your photos, etc.

We plan to use our smash journal to document our third year together. Over dinner that night, we made a series of goals and things we want to accomplish in the next year - so I'm sure you'll see this journal a few more times.

Oh yeah, this year is gonna be great.
